Texonet is a knowledge driven engineering and IT services company. The word "texo" derives from the Latin "to weave" and Texonet's business lies in creating links between consumers of information and providers of data. Texonet aims to create these links irrespective of the data sources, the devices used or the transport methods involved.

Enterprises in all sectors are seeking to improve efficiency by integrating all available information flows into a single management information system.

Texonet Limited was formed in February 1998 in response to a requirement from West of Scotland Water Authority (now Scottish Water) to expand the telemetry coverage of their asset base. Since the company's inception Texonet have worked on over 700 Scottish Water telemetry sites: equiping over 350 sites with telemetry and supplying a variety of services on a further 350 sites.
